KENSINGTON VALLEY CIVITAN CLUB - EXCELLENCE THROUGH VOLUNTEERISM & GOOD CITIZENSHIP SCHOLARSHIP
The Kensington Valley Civitan Club is a local chapter of a worldwide community service organization that run a variety of projects and programs aimed at serving individuals and community needs including helping those with cognitive disabilities. Civitan's motto is Builders Of Good Citizenship.
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior at South Lyon East High School and South Lyon High School who are active in volunteerism and community service. The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize those who have demonstrated activities in serving others through volunteerism. The scholarship may be used at any college, university or vocational/tech/trade school.
Members of the Kensington Valley Civitan Club will review the applications, and the scholarship recipients will be announced and awarded at the Senior Award Night. The scholarship criteria is based on the applicant's interest in continuing their education, and their participation in school and/or community activities.
Completed applications are due by April 17, 2024. Letters of recommendation are encouraged but not required. Questions regarding this scholarship can be directed to Paige George at [email protected].
